I am posting a story I am making up...
I will write a chapter every day(hopefully...I have other commitments, you know(I'll add pieces when I can))

Here it goes...

The Ages of Mages
By ME!

The tree loomed over everything else in sight. Its gnarly limbs protruding in every direction.
A hooded figure looked up upon it. He was tall, exceeding most in that day and age. He had a staff with a twisted, gnarly top. In the clutches of the roots at the peak was a crystal orb. It was a dark cobalt with silver, milky swirls circulating across its mass. The hooded figure had a long gray beard growing from the darkness inside the hood. His hands, which were holding the staff were gnarly(boy I use this word a lot) and bony like the tree in his midst. His stride was long and strong and he had a swift pace. Tumbling behind him was a friar in brown ragged clothing. The friar had messy tan hair and his cheeks were covered in dirt. He was young, about 14.
They strode up to the tree. The old cloaked man uttered some words.
"Ukah furmat Kaljum."
A rumbling escaped the tree. A knot in the base slowly, but surely widened into a threshold into a vast lair, all contained within one tree. Granted, it was a gargantuan tree, but, come on, it was a tree.
